Job Summary: This role focuses on application support and SRE responsibilities to ensure system reliability, performance, and automation across production environments. The engineer will handle incidents, manage Linux-based infrastructure, web servers, containers, and monitoring tools while collaborate with cross-functional teams. On-call support rotation is required.

Mode of Work: Full Time  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Provide application support and implement SRE best practices.  
  
• Handle incidents, escalations, and problem management for NFRT production environments.  
  
• Administer application servers and troubleshoot infrastructure and user incidents.  
  
• Develop automated solutions to reduce downtime and manual effort.  
  
• Implement monitoring and alerting tools; configure application monitors.  
  
• Revisit and align SRE metrics with firm and departmental goals.  
  
• Create tooling and automation to eliminate toil and improve resiliency.  
  
• Collaborate with enterprise infrastructure, networking, security, and database teams.  
  
• Produce reusable infrastructure design patterns and maintain documentation.  
  
• Support vendor onboarding and ensure compliance with security blueprints.  
  
• Automate daily support functions and improve system stability.  
  
• Participate in weekend and on-call support rotations.  
  

Requirements:  

• Advanced hands-on experience with Linux 8.x operating system.  
  
• Experience with SOA, distributed systems, scripting (Python, Shell), and RDBMS (Sybase, DB2, SQL, Postgres).  
  
• Proficiency with web servers (Apache/Nginx), application servers (Tomcat/JBoss).  
  
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and SaaS platform integration.  
  
• Exposure to messaging technologies like Kafka.  
  
• Understanding of load balancers, web proxies, NAS/SAN storage platforms.  
  
• Familiarity with security policies, Kerberos, SSL/TLS encryption.  
  
• Experience managing large web-based n-tier applications in secure environments.  
  
• Strong grasp of SRE principles and related tools.  
  
• Infrastructure knowledge in Linux/Unix, storage, networking, and web technologies.  
  
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Ansible.  
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  

Good To Have Sk ills :  

• Exposure to Big Data platforms (Hadoop/Cloudera), ELK Stack.  
  
• Working knowledge of Airflow and caching databases like Redis.  
  
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and SPARQL.  
  
• Experience in capacity planning and performance tuning.  
  
• Knowledge of identity management protocols (OIDC/OAuth, SAML, LDAP).  
  
• Cloud application and infrastructure knowledge.  
  
• Exposure to GenAI and LLM models.  
  
• Cloud/distributed computing certifications.
