SRE Automation Engineer

As an SRE Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in Automation principles and tools such as Ansible to address Toil identification and implement quality of life automation measures. With over 5 years of experience, you will demonstrate advanced proficiency in Unix/Linux, Windows Server, Oracle, MSSQL, and MongoDB. Your skillset should also include proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Java, and Curl, along with familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, GitHub, Jenkins, Jules, and Terraform. Furthermore, you will showcase your experience in working with observability tools such as AppDynamics, Geneos, Dynatrace, ECS Based internal tooling, Datadog, Cloud watch, Big Panda, Elastic Search (ELK), Google Cloud Logging, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and Thousand Eyes. Your responsibilities will encompass logging, monitoring, and event detection on Cloud or Distributed platforms, along with creating and modifying technical documentation related to environment flow, functional requirements, and nonfunctional requirements. In addition, you will play a key role in production management, incident & change management, ITSM, Service Now, and problem-solving activities. Your expertise in technical operations application support, stability, reliability, and resiliency will be crucial for ensuring the seamless functioning of systems. You will have a minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience in SRE implementation, particularly in developing monitoring system dashboards for application reliability using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, App Dynamics, Datadog, and Big Panda. Your proficiency in Configuration as Code, Infrastructure as Code, and AWS(Altas) will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency and scalability. As a senior member of the team, you will provide technical direction to less experienced staff, develop innovative solutions, and serve as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts.
