Sr Software Developer

As a Senior Software Developer at Warner Bros. Discovery, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying scalable, modern, and efficient solutions for various financial applications and integrations within the Enterprise Technology Finance Planning & Deal Management Solutions team's portfolio. Your role will involve collaborating closely with internal and external teams, providing guidance to junior team members, and ensuring the high-quality delivery of software products and solutions. In this role, your accountabilities will include participating in project meetings, building architecture diagrams, communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders, prioritizing and delivering projects, providing post go-live support, and performing routine administrative tasks such as monitoring jobs and addressing vulnerabilities. You will also be involved in analyzing, building, testing, and deploying software applications using application-specific technology and cloud-based solutions using AWS Services and 3rd party development tools. Additionally, you will work on various projects, assist project teams in executing business requirements, implement large-scale IT solutions, conduct code reviews, write and execute unit tests, perform integration testing and debugging, as well as deploy developed solutions in production environments. Continuous learning and improvement are encouraged, and you will be expected to stay updated with the latest technologies and trends by attending in-person or online trainings and conferences. To qualify for this position, you should have at least 5 years of experience in a related field, with a minimum of 3 years as a developer in ERP Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Financial Solutions. A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is required. Experience with financial systems such as ERP (SAP/S4, Oracle ERP Cloud, PeopleSoft Financials, Workday Financials), AWS, Azure, Informatica, and Data Lake is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential for this role. While not required, experience working in a global company, with distributed teams, and knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI would be advantageous.
