A Senior QA (Quality Assurance) Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that products, services, and processes adhere to strict quality standards and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will involve leading quality initiatives, troubleshooting issues, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. You will lead quality system initiatives by training end-users on procedures, tools, and compliance requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality assurance protocols and standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to internal QA policies and external regulations will be a key aspect of your role. Managing document control, including authoring, reviewing, and approving SOPs, policies, work instructions, and testing protocols, will also be part of your responsibilities. In terms of testing, analysis, and reporting, you will plan, develop, and execute manual and automated testing strategies for product or software validation. Analyzing test outcomes, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective/preventive actions will be essential. You will prepare and present detailed quality reports, metrics, and insights for management and regulatory bodies. Your role will also involve assessing, authorizing, and overseeing IT/software quality through audits, evaluations, and performance monitoring. Supporting the change management process to prevent negative impacts on product or process quality will be critical. Driving and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives in IT processes will also be part of your responsibilities. Basic qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering, Quality Management, IT, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field. You should have 7-10 years of professional experience in quality management systems (QMS), testing methodologies, and regulatory compliance (GMP, ISO, Six Sigma, etc.). Strong experience with manual and automated QA/testing tools, as well as working within Agile or Scrum methodologies, is required. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and root cause analysis abilities are essential, along with experience in document and data management, reporting, and audit processes. Advanced communication skills for stakeholder engagement and report writing are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include professional certifications such as Six Sigma, ISO, ASQ CQA/CQE, or similar. Familiarity with quality functions within software or manufacturing contexts is a plus.
