Sr Patent Search and Analysis Specialist

Role Overview: As a Senior Patent Search and Analysis Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough patent searches and analyzing intellectual property landscapes to provide valuable insights and strategic recommendations based on patent data. Your primary goal is to support portfolio managers and licensing managers by offering expert analysis and recommendations. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive patent searches using various databases like USPTO, EPO, and other global patent databases. - Perform patentability searches, freedom to operate analysis, evidence of use searches, and invalidation studies. - Assess competitive landscapes to identify competitors" patent portfolios and technology trends, and evaluate associated risks and opportunities. - Monitor industry and technology trends to anticipate patent issues and opportunities, and collaborate with R&D teams to align patent strategies with business objectives. - Work closely with inventors, legal teams, and stakeholders to understand technical aspects of inventions and provide guidance. - Collaborate with patent attorneys to support patent prosecution and litigation activities. - Maintain accurate records of patent searches and analysis, and prepare clear reports, presentations, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and clients. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, IT, ECE, or Telecom. - Strong understanding of intellectual property laws and patent processes. - Proficiency in using patent search tools and databases. - Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
