You will be responsible for the procurement and inventory management of Agilent manufacturing materials, components, equipment, and services while aligning with supply chain optimization and management objectives. This includes coordinating material sourcing for new product introduction projects in collaboration with R&D and Marketing. Additionally, you will ensure the procurement and inventory management of high-technology or life sciences production and non-manufacturing materials, equipment, and services in line with supply chain optimization goals. Effectively managing the Third Party Purchases (3PP) Process will be a key part of your role. You will establish and maintain supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance, negotiate contracts and prices, and develop commodity plans. Furthermore, you may oversee contract manufacturer or original design manufacturer relationships to optimize inventory and total cost of ownership. As part of your responsibilities, you may lead process improvement initiatives related to new product introduction, resourcing, cost reduction, quality enhancement, and supply chain improvements. Understanding and complying with regulatory or compliance regulations specific to certain categories or products may also be required. You may have global responsibilities and support multiple sites. Your problem-solving skills will be essential in addressing issues of varying scope and complexity. Additionally, you will lead internal projects and team activities to enhance productivity and own daily work improvement areas. Moreover, you will act as a coach and mentor to other Agilent employees, present department information routinely, lead internal projects and team activities, and serve as a team lead to a group of employees. Independently resolving complex projects and challenges, coordinating with other functions and third parties, applying quality improvement processes, and upholding Agilent Values will be part of your regular tasks. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent, with post-graduate, certification, or licensing requirements possibly necessary. Typically, a minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience is expected for entry into this level. Travel of about 10% of the time may be required. This is a full-time position with a day shift and no specified end date. Your primary job function will be in manufacturing.
