Sr. Optics Engineer

Position Title: Senior Optics Engineer
Experience: 4–6 years
Qualification: B.Tech/M.Tech/PhD in Optics, Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related field with excellent academic record.

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Optics Engineer with hands-on experience in IR, UV & Visible spectrum optical system design, simulation and prototyping. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Zemax/OpticStudio, optical component selection, system performance optimization, and light-matter interaction.

Key Responsibilities
Optical Design & Simulation- Design and optimize optical systems operating in Infrared (IR), Ultraviolet (UV) and Visible wavelengths.- Perform ray tracing, tolerance analysis, illumination design, and stray-light analysis using Zemax/OpticStudio.

Prototyping & Validation
- Build and test optical prototypes, align assemblies, verify performance.- Conduct experiments for detector characterization, source modulation, SNR measurement.

Spectral Analysis & Component Selection
- Select IR/UV sources, detectors, filters, lenses and coatings.- Analyze material absorption, scattering, thermal effects.

Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare design documents, test plans, alignment procedures.- Ensure compliance with optical safety standards.

Required Skills & Experience
- 4–6 years in optical design, sensing, photometry or instrumentation.- Expertise in Zemax/OpticStudio.- Strong understanding of IR/UV/Visible optics and detectors.- Experience with optical alignment and lab equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in NDIR/UV analyzers, spectroscopy, or optical sensors.- Knowledge of CAD tools and scripting (MATLAB/Python).

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
