Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Treasury Management (Cash and Liquidity):

• Oversee daily cash management activities, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations and financial obligations.

• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to ensure the organization has sufficient funds for day to-day operations, as well as for future capital and investment requirements.

• Optimize cash management strategies to minimize idle cash and maximize returns on cash reserves.

• Ensure effective working capital management, including monitoring and optimizing accounts payable and receivable cycles.

• Prepare and present detailed treasury reports to senior management, including cash flow forecasts, liquidity analysis, and investment performance.

• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decisions, including evaluating capital expenditures, funding needs, and cost of capital.

Banking and Financial Relationships:

• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to ensure favourable terms for credit lines, banking services, and other financing options.

• Oversee the management of the companys banking arrangements, including opening and closing accounts, authorizing transactions, and ensuring that bank accounts are properly reconciled.

• Negotiate and manage terms for lines of credit, short-term loans, and other financing arrangements.

Debt and Investment Management:

• Oversee the companys debt portfolio, ensuring timely compliance with debt covenants and agreements, and timely repayment/ renewal of the facilities

• Recommend, assess, and execute financing options for both short-term and long-term funding needs, such as loans, credit facilities, or bond issuances.

• Manage and optimize short-term investments of surplus funds to generate maximum returns with minimal risk.

Forex Management/ Hedging & Financial Risks:

• Identify and manage foreign exchange (FX), interest rate fluctuations, and other financial risks (including customer credit management, vendor/ contractor financial analysis, liability claims management) that an organization should consider in its operational plan.

• Develop and implement risk management strategies, including the use of hedging instruments (e.g., forwards, options, swaps) to mitigate exposure to market volatility.

• Regularly assess and report on the company’s risk position and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

• Suggest innovative and alternate ways of sourcing funds with inherent cost benefits and bring operational efficiency in the corporate finance department
