Sr Manager-Operations

The position based in China involves serving as the primary liaison between production teams and commercial stakeholders. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring successful delivery of solutions to customers by integrating technical knowledge with business acumen. The preferred cities for this position are Harbin/Mudanjiang in China. As the primary contact for China operations, you will be responsible for understanding product requirements from India and collaborating with the China production team for seamless execution and delivery. Customizing solutions based on local market needs and monitoring industry trends to provide feedback to the product development team are key technical responsibilities. On the commercial front, you will be required to develop and implement business strategies to boost sales growth in China and other global markets. Identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts, and preparing technical-commercial proposals will be part of your duties. Additionally, collaborating with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure smooth order execution is essential. In terms of production responsibilities, you will handle Import and Export Management in China, vendor development, and oversee daily production activities. Developing vendors in China to maintain product quality, enhancing production efficiency, and proficiently communicating in Chinese for effective negotiation are crucial aspects of this role. Moreover, a track record in staff administration and team leadership is required. Key Requirements: - Education: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field). An MBA or commercial training is an added advantage. - Experience: 10-15 years of experience in a techno-commercial or PPC role. Prior experience in China or with Chinese clients/suppliers is highly desirable. - Skills: Strong technical understanding with commercial aptitude, excellent negotiation and communication skills, proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) and English, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural setting. - Travel: Frequent domestic travel within China and occasional international travel as needed.
