Sr Manager - Network Operations & Support

Position Summary

Satellite TV Teleport Station Manager is responsible forthe overall Operations & Maintenance of satellite TV Teleport and its associatedsubsystems, Service Assurance and Service Delivery of satellite TV Teleportservices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smoothfunctioning of Satellite TV teleport infrastructure, coordinating with internaland external teams, troubleshooting Satellite TV teleport issues, and ensuringoptimal performance of all the systems and equipment involved in the SatelliteTV Teleport setup.

Major Responsibilities

1.

        Overall responsiblefor Operations & Maintenance, service assurance and service delivery for SatelliteTV teleport uplink, Satellite TV downlink services. Need to support Mediaservices, CDN services and overall administration and management of the SatelliteTV teleport.

        Responsibleto ensure efficient Operation & Maintenance and maintain SLAs for theSatellite TV teleport.

        To define,implement as well as continuously improve O&M processes aligned to the OEMrecommendations & Satellite Operator SOPs.

        Maintain GCEequipment & Satellite TV teleport services uptime as per SLAs.

        Manage equipment/Networkfaults & customer issues efficiently in close coordination with internal /external customers.

        Ensure deliveryof services within targeted timelines. To support new projects as per defined TATin coordination with internal Business, product team and different externalbusiness / vendor partners. To support Teleport shifting projectactivities. 

        Manage newTeleport installations and upgrades as per the business need.

        Liaison with the internalregulatory team for regulatory compliances.   

        Preparation ofrequired inputs for planning & implementation of AOP.

        To manage Satellite TVTeleport Operations and ensure smooth 24X7 operations with optimized resources.

        Ensure sufficient GCE spares/ infrastructure at the teleport location.

        To ensure preparation& timely submission of various reports.

        To ensurepreventive and corrective maintenance activities are scrupulously followed asper OEM specifications & recommendations.

        To manage efficient Technical Operations and ensuresmooth 24X7 operations with optimized resources.

        Train, Supervise Lead & manage team ofoperational staff to ensure efficient Operations & Maintenance, serviceassurance & service delivery.

        Coordinate with all internal & externalstakeholders to ensure seamless uplink transmission operations.

        Perform Root cause analysis of repeated failure anddraw an action plan

        Provide technical support for any equipment/subsystemfailure issues that may arise and take immediate action to resolve theseensuring minimal downtime and service disruption.

        Collaborate with external technical partners forsupport, upgrades, or troubleshooting.

        Manage the procurement, installation, andmaintenance of all teleport-related equipment, including satellite antennas, RFsubsystem, HPAs, servers, modulators, encoders, and other transmission systems.

        Ensure all equipment is up to date and in goodworking condition, conduct regular audits and upgrades as required.

        Maintain up to date inventory.

€¢             Maintain accurate records of alloperational activities, processes, troubleshooting logs, and equipmentmaintenance.

€¢             Prepare periodic reports onteleport operations, uptime, and performance metrics for senior managementreview.
