Sr Manager - Customer Interaction Suite

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilledTech Lead Full Stack to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, developing, and maintaining highly available and scalable backend systems that power theKaleyar IO suite of applicationswithin Tata Communications. You will lead a team of engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the delivery of reliable, performant, and maintainable software solutions. Working within an Agile framework, you will also guide the team on technical best practices and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead backend development efforts with 812 years of experience in software engineering.
• Provide strong technical leadership inbilling systemsandcallback mechanisms.
• Drive code quality throughGit-based workflows(branching, merging, code reviews).
• Architect and develop backend services usingNode.jsandGoLang.
• Collaborate with Product teams to understand requirements and translate them into user stories.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure adherence to Agile methodologies.
• Mentor and guide the team on technical decisions and adoption of new technologies.
• Assist the Engineering Manager in handling production issues, debugging, and providing RCA.

Technical Skills

• Expertise inGolangandNode.jsfor backend development.
• Strong experience withMongoDBandMySQLfor data modeling and storage.
• Knowledge ofRedisfor caching and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating withmessaging systemslike RabbitMQ (or similar).
• Proficiency in designing and consumingREST APIs(Protobuf/gRPC is a plus).
• Hands-on experience deploying and scaling applications onAWS.
• Familiarity withGitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile practices.
• Ability to collaborate with DevOps, QA, and frontend teams for smooth delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 812 years of overall experience with at least 25 years in backend development leadership.
• Strong proficiency inGolangand working knowledge ofNode.js.
• Solid experience withMongoDB(or other NoSQL DBs) andMySQL.
• Working knowledge ofRedisandRabbitMQ(or other message brokers).
• Experience deploying and scaling applications onAWS.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to.NET,React, or basic frontend development.
• Knowledge of scripting languages for automation and tooling.
• Understanding ofmicroservices architectureand containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with high-throughput messaging frameworks (Kafka, Apache Pulsar).
• Familiarity with systems handling50k TPSor higher.
