Role & responsibilities
Business Excellence
- Work with CFO and CEO to do AOP exercise in the beginning of the financial year and set right track on plant performances based on AOP and business requirements
- Ensure plant is in growth path yoY in terms of productivity, Top line and Bottom Line with motivated workforce
- Work on CAPEX planning and give working capital requirements in advance for smooth functioning of Plant and to cater plant expansion or installation of new machineries
- Keep control on Operative cost of manufacturing unit to ensure better gross margin and profitability through enhancement of processes, cost optimization projects, material utilization, control on breakdown, reduce COPQ & rejection, Manpower cost and innovation
Manufacturing Excellence
- Build world class manufacturing facilities as per the current business requirement and have capacity enhancement for future business objectives and also able to accommodate new product lines in short span of time
- Collaborate with CEO and sales team to understand the current and future business requirements, make robust planning with his manufacturing team to deliver on-time quality and cost-effective products.
- Design a complete Production process based on lean manufacturing process management to improve efficiencies and optimization of available resources and ensure the tenacity to sustain aggressive growth.
- Drive different cost optimization CFT, manpower utilization, productivity improvement, line optimization, reduce per unit production cost, lean manufacturing, TPM (Total Productivity Management). Production cycle time study and improvement, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Environment, Health & Safety projects
- Ensure all manufacturing processes and parameters (SOPs & SLAs) are laid down and documented properly and also ensure processes, SOPs and SLAs are followed by people rigorously
Quality Excellence
- Drive ISO / TS/ITF and other quality standards to improve the quality of products and manufacturing systems as per the global manufacturing standard
- Study different global quality standards, OEM Quality Standard and competitor's benchmarks and drive the quality team to bring required changes in existing products and ensure the same standards have been maintained in new product launch
- Introduce different quality measurements and controls (QMS, SPC, CAPA, POKE-YOKE & COPQ) to keep product quality as per the desired standard and improve FTR score ( First Time right)
- Ensure the Quality team is working around 7 QC tools and TQM pillars to improve quality standard of current production to match with global quality standards and practices.
- Build Lab Testing facilities and infrastructure to cater Quality assurance of Products
Operations & Process Excellence
- Manage internal & external processes and functions to support the overall Business goals and strategies, without losing sight of the imperative to continuous growth and scaling the organization in an aggressive manner for next levels of performance
- Build and execute, an effective supply chain management model to sustain tenacity of aggressive business growth requirement of existing and prospective customers globally
- Guide Project Team to Identify and Maintain right Machine and Technology which will help to produce quality Products in efficient manner also identify right source of machine suppliers
- Monitor installation of new machinery to improve efficacy of process and work online realignment, reduce cycle time and other improvement plan to optimize resources
- Work continuously on automation of different processes to reduce human interventions
- Ensure effective inventory management for raw materials, WIP and finish goods to reduce impact on working capital
- Analyze raw materials and consumable requirements as per the business plan and build strong network of quality and cost-effective pool of vendors and suppliers in domestic and global market
- Focus on the execution of Preventive maintenance plan to avoid any loss of production or life due to machine failure.
- Periodic review and audit of Health & safety (OHSAS) status and if required to bring more equipment, recommend to management and take approval on budget and ensure there is no compromise on health & safety issue
- Ensure all statutory requirements are full filled as per the Factories Act, Approval on factory layout and design, Pollution Boards, Fire & Safety, PF, ESI and employment related statutory compliances
People Management
- Ensure availability of team as per the manpower plan and budget
- Create successor of each key positions of the Organization
- Impart Group, Vision, Mission and value system across the team
- Motivate, monitor and manage team in a high Growth environment with harmonious working environment
- Reduction in manpower cost, overtime cost and absenteeism
Preferred candidate profile
Professional Qualifications- B.Tech- Mech/ Elect
Age-45-50 yrs
Experiences- 25-30 yrs (10 yrs at Leadership Role)
Preferred Industry- Automotive Sheet Metal Component Industry
