Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Deep knowledge in fabrication & welding in a heavy fabrication industry
Take ownership of driving culture of Lean, TQM, Process engineering, ergonomics and layout design for own area of control
Creating roadmap and implementation of tools and technology needed to drive improvements
To do value addition by incorporating technology into fabrication process
Building and managing relationship with internal and external stakeholders
Keep ahead of industry development and apply best practices
Recruit, mentor and develop team
Execution of annual as well as monthly fabrication plan at shop floor
Maintain general discipline and safety at shop floor
Resolving the problems and conflicts at shop floor

Preferred candidate profile

Must have worked as Senior Fabrication Engineer` in Heavy fabrication company
Minimum 7 to 10 years of Fabrication experience and able to handle the lead fabrication position
Attention to detail, organized, time management, constructive feedback, ability to express complex ideas
Excellent Communication, presentation and execution skills
Strong People management (listening, collaboration and delegation) and Problem solving skills
Hands on experience in ASME Codes knowledge would be preferable

Improving throughput of fabrication
Improvement in aesthetic/weld visual
Increase productivity of men and machine
Improving first time right
Drive cost reduction and Kaizen projects for own area
