Job Summary:
To ensure accurate tracking, analysis, and reporting of project-wise costs and budgets. The role requires detailed cost monitoring, variance analysis, and effective coordination with project and finance teams to ensure cost efficiency and financial control across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain project-wise cost records and ensure timely posting of cost adjustments entries in SAP/ERP system.
Monitor project budgets in coordination with the planning and project teams.
Track actual costs against budgets and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
Review and validate cost components like material, labour, subcontractor charges, overheads, etc.
Assist in periodical cost reports for management review.
Work closely with procurement and project execution teams to verify cost commitments and accruals.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and highlight any deviations from budget.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and standard costing practices.
Support project audits and assist in preparing cost-related documentation.
Collaborate with finance team for project profitability analysis and MIS reporting.
Key Requirements:
Education
: B. Com / M. Com with ICWA (CMA) Inter / Qualified
Experience
: 0 2 years of relevant experience in project costing, preferably in EPC, manufacturing, or infrastructure sector
ERP Knowledge
: Hands-on experience in SAP or any major ERP system is essential
Skills
: Strong analytical and numerical skills
Proficiency in MS Excel and costing tools
Good communication and inter-departmental coordination
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in handling large-scale project budgets
Working knowledge of other cost-related compliances
Exposure to standard costing, variance analysis, and cost control measures
