Job Description

Costing & Analysis
- Prepare, analyse and control product costing (standard, actual, and variance analysis).
- Develop and monitor cost sheets, bill of materials (BOM), and process costing.
- Handle
  joint product and by-product costing
  , including allocation of joint costs and determination of realizable values.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly cost audits and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support new product costing, pricing decisions, and profitability analysis.
Budgeting & Controlling
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and highlight variances with reasons.
- Implement effective cost control measures across manufacturing units.
- Track overhead costs and drive initiatives for cost optimization.
SAP / ERP Expertise
- Hands-on experience in
  SAP CO (Controlling) and FI-CO modules
  with strong knowledge of configuration related to costing.
- Configure and maintain
  cost centers, internal orders, profit centers, product costing (BOM, routing, activity rates, material ledger)
  .
- Manage
  by-product and co-product costing within SAP
  , ensuring accurate valuation and reporting.
- Support SAP enhancements, testing, and troubleshooting in costing-related areas.
- Train end-users and provide functional support for costing modules.
Financial & MIS Reporting
- Prepare detailed management reports on cost structures, contribution margins and profitability.
- Provide decision-making support through cost simulations and sensitivity analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of costing MIS to management.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Cost Audit, Cost Records as per Companies Act).
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors for cost-related queries.
- Maintain documentation for regulatory and cost audit purposes.
Process Improvements
- Recommend and implement process improvements in cost accounting and control.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and operations teams to improve efficiency.
- Leverage SAP tools and automation to streamline costing processes.
