Sr. Engineer Safety

Role Overview: As the Safety Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to ensure strict adherence to safety standards and guidelines in the workplace. You will play a crucial role in conducting safety observations, analyzing data, and implementing necessary actions to modify behaviors. Additionally, you will be responsible for imparting training to enhance the competency of the workforce and promoting safety awareness within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure up-to-date documentation of standards, guidelines, procedures, and training modules. - Work closely with the network steering team to achieve deliverables. - Participate in audits related to the area of competency and support audits of the plant you oversee. - Conduct safety observations as per set targets and analyze the data to identify necessary actions. - Participate in risk management programs, including hazard analysis, incident investigation, and control measures. - Provide training to enhance the competency of employees in the relevant area of work. - Engage in external industry bodies, trade associations, and global forums. - Plan and execute safety promotion activities to increase awareness in specific areas. Qualification Required: - Necessary: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science (Mechanical/Chemical/Instrumentation/Chemistry). - Desirable: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent, Industry Recognized/Accepted Expert in HSE, Post Graduate in Engineering/Science. Additional Details: The ideal candidate should have 5 to 10 years of experience in Process Industry Site Operations or Maintenance, with 2-3 years specifically focused on handling HSE. Desirable qualifications include 3-5 years of experience in implementing HSE assurance. Moreover, you should possess technical understanding of operations, coaching abilities, influencing skills, persistence, analytical capabilities, auditing expertise, technical facilitation skills, effective communication, strong interpersonal skills, and strategic understanding.,
