Purpose of the role
The Planner demonstrates strong technical knowledge in maintenance crafts, equipment function, manufacturing requirements, CMMS, and project management. The Planner contributes to the business objectives of optimizing equipment availability and Maintenance department productivity by ensuring work is performed efficiently and effectively.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
100% of Time : Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
- Receives and reviews work requests to ensure completeness and accuracy of information prior to planning.
- Plans labor, parts, tools, and required time for all types of maintenance work orders including safety, food safety, corrective, and preventive maintenance (PM).
- Initiates IRM (Item Request Management) process to create or update part master data required for planned work.
- Coordinates with Line Teams, Maintenance, and Engineering to prioritize and schedule work orders using Maximo and offline tools where applicable.
- Maintenance Planning & Scheduling (MPS) tool support for the site; provides guidance and training
- Ensures that asset hierarchies, job plans, and PM routines are correctly maintained and updated within the system.
- Supports job plan standardization efforts and provides basic training on Maximo usage to site personnel.
- Reviews completed work orders and compares planned vs. actual labor and materials to improve accuracy and efficiency of future plans.
- Partners with Purchasing and the Storeroom to ensure spare part information is accurate
- Analyzes RM Data to identify gaps in PM Strategy and align updates to PM
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
- Minimum Degree Requirements : Bachelors
- Preferred Major Area of Study : Bachelor s degree in engineering in any one: Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production, Electronics, Instrumentation
- Minimum years of related experience required : 5 years

- Demonstrated experience in the Plant Operations or Maintenance Domain
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of maintenance planning concepts and CMMS systems (preferably Maximo)
- Basic understanding of equipment reliability principles and preventive maintenance
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, electronic, listening and feedback communications
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering
- Eagerness to grow into broader planning or reliability-focused roles over time
