Designation: Senior Engineer - Commissioning

Experience: 15+ years

Qualification: BE Chemical/MSc (Oil & Fats)/Oil Technology/Diploma in Chemical

Primary functions:

1. Commissioning

• Active hands-on involvement in Process Plant Pre commissioning activities in coordination with Automation/ E&I team member & Customer.

• Hands on Involvement in Plant audit as per P&ID along with installation engineer upon

completion of Installation activities.

• Be the front face of Desmet to customer during commissioning phase.

• Co-ordinate with other Desmet team members for preparing Site reports during the

commissioning and Pre-commissioning activities.

• Co-ordinate internally with Process and Project Management team for various guidance

on the Project being handled for successful completion of the mission.

• Champion to understand the process issues & trouble-shoot the operations for

continuous run.

• Hands-on experience in the process to develop plant upgradations / new add-on

equipments to improve Clients Production efficiency.

• Co-ordinate with other Desmet team members for preparing periodic Site reports during

the commissioning activities.

• Responsible & taking lead for clean Project Handover.

• Willing to travel extensively.

Secondary functions:

2. Installation

• As a site manager – able to Lead all the installation and erection activities (mechanical

and electrical) in site and be a single point responsibility in site for customer.

• Co-ordinate internally with Process and Project Management team for various guidance

on the Project being handled for successful completion of the mission.

• Able to manage Contractor team & to coordinate for successful installation of the plant.

• Able to manage DPR (Daily progress report) & to ensure materials planning in-time to

have continuous work for contractors to meet Project schedule.

• Should support in Preparing Project Schedule with major milestones.

• Proficiency in managing Customer requirements & act responsibly.
