Design and implement performance monitoring, log monitoring, and alerting solutions on Azure using open-source tools like Grafana and Prometheus. Monitor and optimise cloud costs for Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while recommending cost-efficient cloud solutions. Architect, deploy, and automate highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructures using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar. Configure and manage Nginx, ensuring optimal performance and security. Develop dashboards for easy monitoring and reporting using tools like Grafana and Kibana. Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins. Administer Kubernetes clusters, ensuring efficient deployments, scaling, and security practices. Apply and enforce Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies and industry-standard security best practices. Create and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Write and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, or Python to improve operational efficiency Support the migration of current products to Azure. Document processes, routine tasks, and incident resolutions in Confluence. The Successful Candidate Performance Monitoring: Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Kibana. Cloud Cost Optimisation: Proven expertise in managing and optimising costs on Azure and GCP. Extensive Kubernetes Expertise: Cluster setup and management, advanced configuration management of deployments, services, ingresses, and SSL certificates. Strong proficiency in Nginx configuration and management. Experience with CI/CD pipeline management using GitLab and Jenkins. Deep understanding of containerisation using Docker and Kubernetes Proficient in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, and Python. Knowledge of networking, including load balancing, firewalls, and secure application design Administration and maintenance of tools such as Sonatype Nexus, Portainer, Jira, and Confluence. Experience with relational databases such as MS-SQL, MySQL, and MariaDB. Knowledge of Azure federation services and key Azure services like Key Vault, API Management, and Service Bus. Nice to Have 5+ years experience as a Dev/Ops engineer. Security Expertise: Experience applying WAF policies and other security best practices. Understanding of microservices architectures and automated deployments for such systems. Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Vagrant, Terraform, and Ansible. Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum and Kanban methodologies. Personal Attributes Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical details for nontechnical audiences. Effective time management with the ability to multitask and prioritize deliverables. A collaborative mindset with a passion for innovation and learning.
