Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Python Engineer with 6 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python Databricks SQL and PySpark with a preference for those with experience in Property & Casualty Insurance. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects during day shifts without the need for travel.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable data processing systems using Python and PySpark to support business objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that enhance decision-making processes.
Utilize Databricks SQL to analyze large datasets and generate actionable insights for stakeholders.
Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust data validation and cleansing processes.
Optimize data pipelines for performance and efficiency reducing processing time and resource consumption.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain high coding standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data processing and analytics.
Document technical specifications and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve data solutions.
Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data engineering within the organization.
Work closely with business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Support the deployment and monitoring of data solutions in production environments.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and creativity.

Qualifications

Demonstrate proficiency in Python for data processing and analysis.
Exhibit strong experience with Databricks SQL for data querying and reporting.
Showcase expertise in PySpark for building scalable data pipelines.
Possess knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance domain is a plus.
Have a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Display excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Recommended : Certified Data Engineer Associate Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark
