Sr. Design Engineer

Job Description: As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your role involves leading the mechanical design and development of components, assemblies, and systems using CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD. You will be responsible for translating product requirements and customer needs into robust engineering solutions. Performing design calculations, tolerance stack-ups, and DFMEA to ensure design integrity is a key aspect of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will generate 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation. Collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams is essential for design feasibility, cost optimization, and DFM/DFA practices. You will coordinate prototype builds, testing, and validation in line with design intent. Handling design changes through the ECR/ECN process and driving product improvement initiatives are also part of your duties. Mentoring junior design engineers and supporting their technical development is an integral aspect of this role. Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards such as ISO, ASME, and DIN, as well as participating in design reviews to support project timelines and deliverables, are critical responsibilities.
