Job Description

1. Develop and review design drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs for electromechanical systems including: Pumping stations Valve and actuator systems Motor control centres (MCCs) VFDs and soft starters Electrical panels and power distribution Instrumentation and SCADA systems Surge Protection system. 2. Perform hydraulic and electrical load calculations for pump selection and pipeline sizing. 3. Evaluate and select suitable equipment and materials in compliance with project requirements, codes, and industry standards. 4. Prepare technical documentation and reports for internal and client review. 5. To prepare general arrangement drawings of Pump houses. 6. Assist in preparing tender documents and evaluating vendor submittals and drawings. 7. Support construction and commissioning teams with technical guidance and design clarifications. 8. To work out item wise bill of quantity of Project. 9. Design approvals from government department and vetting institutes. 10. Travelling on site/Government department for convincing, scrutiny & approval. 11. Report writing and presentation skills is necessary. Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of Pump design and software used for same. Must have experience as electromechanical design engineer for water supply pipeline project or Irrigation projects. Knowledge of different types of Pipes, Valves, Pumps, design manuals and relevant IS codes. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Water Hammer Software for Surge analysis. Must have completed at least five Water supply schemes & Lift Irrigation projects electro-mechanical component DPRs. Practical field knowledge of a water supply scheme & Lift Irrigation Project. Good and clear communication skills.
