Position Overview

Senior Dental Billing Specialist

You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end billing cycle, coordinating with U.S.-based clients, managing claims, and guiding junior team members when needed. This role requires precision, accountability, and excellent communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complete dental billing workflows for U.S.-based practices
• Submit accurate claims using CDT codes via dental billing software
• Conduct insurance verification and eligibility checks
• Manage re-submissions, appeals, and denial resolution
• Perform thorough A/R follow-up to minimize outstanding claims
• Post insurance and patient payments with correct allocation
• Communicate effectively with U.S. offices and respond to billing queries
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and insurance-specific regulations
• Assist in onboarding and mentoring junior billers if required

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in U.S. dental billing

• Strong knowledge of CDT coding and claim life cycle management
• Experience with software such as

  Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, Curve Dental

  , etc.
• Proficiency with clearinghouses like DentalXChange or Change Healthcare
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work U.S. hours or partial overlap with EST/PST

Preferred Qualifications

• Remote experience with U.S. dental clients
• Exposure to general dentistry, orthodontics, oral surgery, and prosthodontics
• Familiarity with insurance credentialing and verification processes
