Sr. Chemist

Role Overview: As a Senior Chemist at Shreeji Aqua Treatment Pvt. Ltd., you will be responsible for conducting chemical testing, managing laboratory activities, ensuring compliance with NABL standards, supervising junior staff, and maintaining quality and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: - Perform chemical testing following SOPs, validated methods, and relevant standards. - Troubleshoot and optimize methods when necessary. - Retest retained samples as per instructions. - Handle test items safely and accurately. - Report to the Technical Manager on laboratory activities. - Manage testing department and implement approved procedures. - Review worksheets for completeness and accuracy. - Evaluate test procedures periodically for quality assurance. - Ensure calibration and maintenance of testing equipment. - Conduct measurement uncertainty calculations at defined intervals. - Initiate inter-laboratory comparisons and submit correct PT results. - Maintain records and ensure ISO/IEC 17025 compliance. - Identify training needs and coordinate activities. - Address customer complaints and equipment breakdowns promptly. - Guide and mentor junior staff, allocate tasks, and review test results. - Follow GLP and safety guidelines in the laboratory. Qualifications & Skills: - Education: M.Sc. / B.Sc. in Chemistry (Analytical / Environmental / Industrial preferred). - Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in a chemical/analytical laboratory, preferably NABL-accredited. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in chemical testing techniques, analytical instrumentation, ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. - Soft Skills: Team leadership, analytical thinking, communication skills.
