Sr. Chemist

As an R&D Chemist at GMK Research Laboratories, you will play a crucial role in organic synthesis, process optimization, and scale-up activities while supporting product and process development initiatives. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and performing organic synthesis of target compounds, intermediates, and APIs. - Planning and executing reaction optimization, purification, and scale-up studies. - Conducting process development and improvement for existing and new products. - Analyzing reaction mixtures and products using HPLC, GC, NMR, IR, TLC, and other analytical techniques. - Maintaining detailed experimental records, data sheets, and technical documentation. - Troubleshooting synthetic and process-related challenges effectively. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams including analytical, production, and quality control departments. - Ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety standards. - Supporting technology transfer from lab scale to pilot or production scale. - Preparing reports, SOPs, and project summaries for internal review and documentation. To qualify for this role, you should have: - M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from a recognized university. - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in R&D (pharmaceutical, chemical, or related industries). - Strong knowledge of reaction mechanisms, synthetic methodologies, and process chemistry. - Experience with chromatographic and spectroscopic analysis. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
