Job Description

Role Overview: You have a unique opportunity to join Microsoft as a Sr. Business Development Manager in the High Tech Pursuits - Startup and Unicorn Program. You will be responsible for identifying unique prospects and executing Microsoft cloud deals that drive significant publicity, competitive share, and revenue for the Microsoft Azure platform, with a primary focus on start-ups and ISVs transforming key verticals. The role involves leading and orchestrating One Microsoft team efforts to drive ambitious growth and wins, partnering closely with various resources across Microsoft. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and shape the future of high potential startups and unicorns based on locally set selection criteria - Engage with startups and unicorns to prioritize the right motion for a potential unicorn win, build strategic partnerships, envision new industry scenarios, and drive technical alignment - Ensure each customer has a valuable relationship with Microsoft, define growth strategies, prioritize sales plays, and develop go-to-market execution plans - Develop and progress deal shaping and commercial deal construct that is optimal for both the customer and Microsoft - Identify appropriate executive-level stakeholders within customers, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and contribute to internal strategy for orchestrating development of sales opportunities Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience, OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 4+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience - 5+ years" experience in complex solution selling, consulting services sales, sales management, corporate strategy, or enterprise technology related sales - Deep understanding of cloud computing, application hosting, social media, and software development preferred - Experience in building long-term commercial agreements, analyzing financial data, and creatively moving difficult deals forward - Ability to coordinate with external partners and internal teams, provide senior executives with required information, and undertake domestic and international travel up to 50%,
