Sr. Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst at Weekday's client in Mumbai or Thane, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and data-driven solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Partnering with business teams and product managers to gather, document, and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment between business and technical stakeholders. - Analyzing large datasets to identify data sources, design data models, and create source-to-target mappings. - Developing clear and concise BRDs, FRDs, and functional specifications. - Creating data flow diagrams (L0, L1), workflow diagrams (As-Is and To-Be), and other process documentation. - Overseeing project timelines, deliverables, and coordinating across teams for smooth execution; leading end-to-end delivery when required. - Actively contributing to Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, releases) and applying Agile principles for project management. - Managing requirements, tasks, and sprint progress in JIRA; maintaining documentation in Confluence. On the technical side, you will be expected to have: - Strong understanding of large-scale data processing, distributed storage, and analytics platforms. - Documenting and optimizing pipelines for efficient and scalable data processing. - Collaborating with Data Analysts to interpret datasets and generate actionable business insights. - Understanding of data-first architecture and data-intensive application design (Nice-to-Have). - Familiarity with AWS data services and API-based system integrations (Nice-to-Have). Qualifications for this role include: - Education: B.E./B.Tech (MBA from a Tier-1 institute preferred). - Experience: Business Analyst - 3-6 years in business/data analysis or related domains; Senior Business Analyst - 6+ years with demonstrated success in managing complex projects and leading business analysis. In addition to the technical and analytical skills required, you should possess: - Strong stakeholder management and project management skills. - Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA. - Proficiency in data flow/workflow diagrams and documentation (BRD, FRD, FSD). - Knowledge of data platforms, data-first architecture, and cloud-based data solutions (AWS preferred). - Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business decisions. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Versatility to seamlessly transition between BA, DA, and Program Management responsibilities.
