Job Description

To greet visitors and patients, determine their needs and guide them accordingly.
To answer queries and to provide information directly to the person or on the telephone. For e.g. Explaining rates, charges, services, discounts (if any) and hospital policy regarding payment of bills (when needed), availability of doctors, may inform the patients relatives when the patient is placed on the critical list.
Inpatient/Outpatient Billing.
Overseas/Corporate/Insured/TPA billing.
Payment Tracking.
Patient Bed Management.
Coordination with consultants as per their OPD timings related to scheduling and rescheduling of appointments.
Intimation to patients in case of cancellation/rescheduling of appointments.
Intimation of consultant leaves to the concerned HOD.
To make future appointments for patients
To maintain and prepare files, records and reports.
Feeding data into the computer
Handle grievance & collecting feedbags
To arrange for escorting patient to room or ward station.
TPA files follow-up and closure.
Tracking of discounts/Cancelled bills/refunds/free bills/posting of packages.
Service Recovery in the billing Area.

Training of the HIS modules in billing with the power users
