Sr Analyst/Manager - MDMS Expert

1. About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced MDMS (Meter Data Management System) Expert to support the design, implementation, and integration of MDMS solutions under the RDSS PMA Project. The role involves supervising the end-to-end deployment of MDMS as part of the AMI system, including solution architecture, process design, and the preparation of High-Level and Low-Level Design (HLD/LLD) documents. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the power distribution sector, utility billing analytics (both Prepaid and Post Paid Billing), a solid understanding of MDMS, HES application and AMI integration with utility billing system, and the ability to ensure compliance with RDSS technical standards. Field supervision, troubleshooting, data validation, and coordination with utility Official, AMISP and IT teams are key aspects of this role.

2. Detailed expectation from the role:

• Lead the design and architecture of the MDMS, ensuring scalability, security, and interoperability within the AMI ecosystem, in line with RDSS technical guidelines.
• Prepare comprehensive High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for MDMS deployment, detailing system architecture, data management processes, and integration points.
• Oversee seamless integration of MDMS with Head-End Systems (HES), smart meters, and utility IT applications such as billing and analytics systems, ensuring accurate and secure data exchange.
• Ensure the MDMS solution adheres to RDSS standards, SLAs, and functional requirements, and support continuous monitoring of data flow, data quality, and system performance KPIs

  3. Required Skill Set:

• Experience in the power distribution sector
• Experience in supervising / implementation of HES including solution design and architecture, process design, creation of HLD/ LLD.
• Knowledge of AMI based integration will be an added advantage.

4. Education and Experience:

• Over 8 years of experience in the power distribution sector.
• Degree in Engineering / IT/ Computer Applications from a recognized university.

5. Location:

• Base location shall be Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh). However, the role would require the applicant to undertake travel for pursuing various opportunities.
