Job Description

As a Senior Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer at Honeywell, you will be an integral part of a team known for its leadership, innovation, and diversity. Joining Honeywell means becoming a member of a global team of thinkers, innovators, dreamers, and doers who shape the future by changing the way we fly, fuel jets in eco-friendly ways, maintain intelligent and safe buildings, and even make breathing on Mars possible. **Key Responsibilities:** - Utilize deep domain expertise in Aero Gas Turbine Engines (GTE) & APU product lines, with a preference for prior work experience in Compressor or Turbine modules. - Apply strong fundamentals in Solid Mechanics, Vibrations & Finite Element Analysis concepts. - Demonstrate expertise in thermal, strength, vibration & fatigue analysis of Aero GTE & APU systems, sub-systems & components. - Proficient in linear & non-linear stress analysis using ANSYS, ANSYS WB & NASTRAN. - Work independently to develop analysis methods and drive design improvements. - Solve problems, mentor project teams, ensure flawless execution, develop talent, and multitask effectively. - Collaborate as a team player with strong interpersonal & networking skills. - Communicate effectively with strong articulation skills. - Drive customer-centric innovation & growth. - Collaborate for co-innovation and co-creation with industry, academia, and start-up ecosystem. - Embrace an agile mindset focusing on speed and cycle time improvement initiatives. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement challenging the status quo. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelors or masters degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed institute with 8-10 years of experience. - Ability to work independently and drive design improvements. - Strong problem-solving skills and mentoring capabilities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in ANSYS, ANSYS WB & NASTRAN for stress analysis. - Experience in Aero Gas Turbine Engines and APU product lines preferred.
