Sr. Accountant

The Senior Accountant - General Accounting position in Chennai requires a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in General Ledger Accounting, including proficiency in accounting ERP tools. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements such as profit & loss and balance sheet, demonstrating a solid understanding of fixed assets, depreciation, and accruals. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will maintain and manage the General Ledger, oversee fixed assets, depreciation, and accruals, and prepare financial statements and trail balance. Additionally, you will be expected to provide accurate and timely financial reporting through reconciliations and account analysis, as well as develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Collaboration with other departments will be essential to provide precise financial information in support of business decisions. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, along with a minimum of 3-8 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting, specifically with accounting ERP tools. Your strong knowledge of accounting principles, including fixed assets, depreciation, and accruals, will be crucial. Furthermore, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends, and effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work with cross-functional teams are required. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly ERP tools, is expected.
