Job Description

  • Write, test, and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from relational databases.
  • Assist in database design, schema creation, and data modelling.
  • Help maintain and troubleshoot database systems.
  • Perform data validation and ensure data integrity.
  • Support senior team members in day-to-day database operations and processes.
  • Assist in database optimization tasks to improve performance.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss progress and requirements.
  • Learn and implement best practices in SQL and database management.
  • Create simple reports and data visualizations as required.

Required Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts (e.g., tables, joins, primary keys, foreign keys).
  • Familiarity with relational database management systems (RDBMS) like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot simple SQL queries.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and tools.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Any certification or coursework related to databases/SQL is a plus.
  • Exposure to database design and normalization is a bonus.
