SQL DBA

As a Database Administrator in this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the uptime, performance, and overall health of all SQL Servers across multiple database technologies in a 24*7 project environment. Your key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring database uptime, performance, and overall health of all SQL Servers, as well as supporting systems and infrastructure - Managing Oracle database 11g, 12c, 18c, RAC, ASM, and Data Guard - Utilizing Enterprise Manager for monitoring and administering mission critical databases - Handling database backup and recovery processes - Managing database patching and upgrades - Resolving Oracle Database issues, troubleshooting, and RCA process - Implementing Oracle Performance Tuning techniques - Troubleshooting using ASH/AWR/ADDM features and providing actionable resolutions - Utilizing Database Tools such as AWR, Opatch, ASMCMD, SRVCTL, and CRSCTL - Monitoring System Performance & Reviewing contention for CPU, memory, network, and disk resources using performance monitor / OS tools For MSSQL/MySQL, your expertise will be required in: - SQL Server replication, Always-ON, performance tuning and optimization, troubleshooting, and SQL Server internals - Backups, restores, and recovery models - Hands-on experience with other HA/DR topologies like Log Shipping, Mirroring, and Clustering for SQL Server - Installation, backup, restore, recovery, security, replication, troubleshooting failures, performance tuning in MySQL/ MariaDB Experience in sybase/PostgreSQL will be considered an added advantage.
