As a SQL DBA, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing complex SQL Server databases. Your primary focus will be on schema design, index strategies, performance tuning, and data modeling. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and optimizing complex SQL Server databases - Authoring, reviewing, and maintaining complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views - Implementing database best practices for security, integrity, backup/recovery, and high availability - Collaborating closely with backend development teams to bridge application and database logic - Participating in system design sessions, architecture reviews, and integration discussions - Analyzing, troubleshooting, and optimizing slow-performing queries and processes in high-volume/transactional environments Qualifications required for this role: - 7-10 years of hands-on experience as a Database Developer with expertise in SQL Server (2016/2019 or higher) - Strong command of T-SQL, query optimization, and transaction management - Proven experience in database schema design, normalization/denormalization, indexing, and data integrity enforcement - Advanced understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts - Working experience and flexibility in developing/supporting backend logic using Java or .NET (C#, ASP.NET) - Exposure to ETL processes and data migration, preferably using SSIS or equivalent tools - Proficient with source control (Git, TFS) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills This role requires a seasoned professional with 7-10 years of experience, adept at designing and maintaining complex database systems. The ideal candidate will also have the flexibility and willingness to work with backend languages such as Java or .NET as business needs arise.
