SQL DBA

Role Overview: As a SQL DBA, you will be responsible for setting up, configuring, and maintaining MS SQL Database servers. Your role will also involve monitoring SQL Server health and performance, troubleshooting performance issues, and managing Schema objects. Additionally, you will be required to assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement, create logins, and provide appropriate permissions. The position may require flexibility to work in 24x7 shifts. Key Responsibilities: - Setup, configure, and maintain MS SQL Database servers - Monitor SQL Server health and performance - Check disk spaces, fragmentation, blocking, deadlock, and resolve issues - Troubleshoot SQL Server performance problems - Monitor and maintain SQL Server high availability - Manage Schema objects like tables, indexes, and views - Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement - Create logins and assign relevant permissions - Be flexible to work in 24x7 shifts Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - 4 to 13 years of experience working as a SQL DBA - Proficiency in MS SQL Server - Strong understanding of database management and performance tuning - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Thank you for considering this opportunity at TCS.
