Job Title: Database Specialist Experience Level: 2+ Years Location: Mumbai Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Specialist with over 2 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL, SQL query optimization, database management, and data migration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining database performance, ensuring data integrity, and supporting migration projects across various environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases. Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, and analysis. Perform data migration between different database systems and environments. Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues. Ensure database security, backup, and recovery procedures are in place. Collaborate with developers and analysts to support application and reporting needs. Document database structures, procedures, and standards. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in database management and administration. Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL. Experience with data migration tools and techniques. Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization. Understanding of relational database design and normalization. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL). Knowledge of other database systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle). Exposure to ETL processes and data warehousing concepts. Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
