Job Description

Main purpose of the role

Key accountabilities

Delivery of exercise and fitness programs in line with Samarpan's treatment program
Quality of service provided to clients.
Successful outcomes for clients - in particular, achieving exercise and fitness goals.
Good practice case management including quality record keeping.

Main duties

Conduct health and safety gym inductions with all clients
Carry out client physical ability assessments
Conduct regular environmental risk assessments
Provide both group and individual exercise & fitness sessions
Instruct clients on basic exercise physiology, lifting and exercise techniques
Create and review client exercise & fitness training plans.
Deliver exercise & fitness educational workshops
Organise group activities such as walks, pool activities, badminton, mountain biking, etc
Produce, record sessions and update client electronic case notes
Attend case management and staff team meetings
Attend clinical supervision, line management reviews and staff support sessions.

General duties

Comply with Samarpan's codes of practice, policies and procedures
Take action to reduce health and safety risks
Work in harmony with Samarpan's values
Respect others and value diversity
Continuously develop knowledge, learning, skill and practice
Continuously improve service delivery
Perform other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time
