Job Overview: As a Spoken English Teacher, you will be responsible for instructing students in the art of spoken English communication. Your primary goal is to enhance students' proficiency and confidence in spoken English through engaging and effective teaching methods. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Development: Develop and implement lesson plans and curriculum tailored to students' needs and proficiency levels. Instruction: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons focused on improving students' spoken English skills, including pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary, and grammar. Assessment: Evaluate students' progress through various assessment methods, such as oral examinations, presentations, and speaking activities. Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to students on their strengths and areas for improvement, offering guidance and support to help them enhance their spoken English skills. Individualized Support: Offer personalized support and additional assistance to students who require extra help in specific areas of spoken English. Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to effective spoken English practice and communication. Resource Development: Develop or utilize existing resources, including audiovisual materials, textbooks, and online tools, to supplement classroom instruction and enhance learning outcomes. Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices in language teaching and incorporate innovative teaching techniques and technology into lessons. Parent Communication: Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding students' progress, challenges, and areas for improvement. Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to ensure coherence in curriculum delivery and student support services. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field. A TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification is preferred. Previous experience teaching English as a second language, particularly in spoken English instruction, is highly desirable. Excellent command of the English language, including proficiency in pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels. Patience, empathy, and a passion for teaching and helping others improve their spoken English skills. Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate different learning styles and adjust teaching methods as needed. Organizational skills and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively. Proficiency in using technology and educational resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
