Speech-Language Pathologist

Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing abilities.

Develop individualized therapy plans based on evaluation results and patient goals.

Provide evidence-based therapy for speech sound disorders, language delays, stuttering, autism-related communication needs, voice issues, and dysphagia.

Use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools when needed.

Monitor, document, and report patient progress with accurate clinical notes.

Educate patients, parents, teachers, or caregivers on home-based strategies and communication support.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, special educators, physiotherapists, and medical professionals.

Participate in IEP meetings (for school settings) and provide input on communication goals.

Maintain ethical practice standards and ensure patient safety.

Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology (as per regional requirement).

Valid license/registration from recognized authority (e.g., RCI in India).

Strong knowledge of speech disorders, language development, and therapy techniques.

Proficiency in administering standardized assessment tools.

Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to create individualized intervention plans and track progress.
