Specialist, Strategic Sourcing (Fiber and Copper Cable Categories)

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist at ANDREW, part of the Amphenol family, located in Verna, Goa, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of connectivity indoors and outdoors. Your main responsibilities will include Site localizations, Category management, and Supplier development & management within the Outdoor Wireless Networks group. You will collaborate closely with Global teams to drive the sourcing & procurement process for new product introductions/localization, vendor selections, and qualifications in defined categories and risk areas. Your impact will be felt through strategic leadership in Commodity, Category, and Risk mitigation, as well as evaluating and selecting suppliers based on capabilities, quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: - Own and drive the sourcing & procurement process for new product introductions/localization - Demonstrate strategic capability & leadership in Commodity, Category, and Risk mitigation - Evaluate and select suppliers based on capabilities, quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness - Lead vendor qualification, onboarding, and documentation processes - Manage supply chain risk and relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Deliver timely cost-effective sourcing solutions to support NPI projects - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement efforts with project or operational requirements Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field - 3 to 5 years of core experience in Sourcing, procurement operations, and vendor coordination - Mandatory ERP experience It would excite us if you: - Demonstrate core experience in Fiber and Copper cable categories - Have experience in SAP & Project Tracking - Are assertive in communication & conversation Why ANDREW Join ANDREW, an Amphenol company, with a legacy of over 85 years in wireless innovation.
