Job Description

As a Special Asset Management - SME Case Management at Barclays, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation and excellence in the digital landscape. Your role will involve leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance digital offerings and ensure exceptional customer experiences. Operating across the UK Corporate, Investment, and Private Bank, your responsibilities will include providing advice and support to colleagues dealing with counterparties displaying deteriorating risk and assuming credit responsibilities for adopted cases. You will collaborate closely with the SAM Deal team in Mumbai to deliver case management activities in compliance with Group Policies and standards, as well as support control-related activities and impairment analysis and reporting within the governance and control framework. Additionally, you will actively participate in various projects supporting strategic initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:** - Identify and analyze delinquent or restructured loans with deteriorating financial conditions. - Monitor and track the performance of workout plans to ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms. - Develop comprehensive workout plans balancing recovery maximization with borrower viability. - Negotiate and finalize settlements or pursue litigation as necessary, following bank policies and regulations. - Operate an effective control environment to ensure compliance with relevant bank policies and regulations. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent preferred. - Experience in credit and risk management or equivalent commercial experience. - Strong background in financial analysis. - High degree of self-motivation, energy, and ability to drive for results. - Track record of setting and achieving goals and meeting schedules. - Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. - Excellent stakeholder management and relationship skills. - Strong negotiation and influencing skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. - Ability to work as a team player and manage time effectively.
