Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and passionate South Indian Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in traditional South Indian cuisine, with a focus on authentic flavors, quality ingredients, and consistent preparation. You will be responsible for creating, preparing, and presenting a wide range of South Indian dishes while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dishes including dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, chutneys, and regional specialties. Plan and develop South Indian menus based on seasonality and guest preferences. Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of dishes. Ensure kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently. Monitor inventory and ensure availability of fresh ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety standards and hygiene regulations. Train and guide kitchen staff as required. Innovate and introduce new South Indian recipes or fusion dishes as needed. Requirements: Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or Cook in a reputable hotel or restaurant. Expertise in various South Indian cooking techniques and use of traditional spices. Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Culinary diploma or relevant certification is preferred.
