Job Description

Job Title: Sous Chef
Department: Kitchen / F&B Production
Reports To: Executive Chef / Head Chef
Location: Hotel - Tulip Arena
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, a passion for culinary excellence, and the ability to manage kitchen staff effectively in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate all food production activities.
  • Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation across all dishes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering ingredients and supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and ensure that all kitchen equipment is well-maintained.
  • Enforce food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP).
  • Assist in menu planning and recipe development.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen team members.
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally when required.
  • Step into the role of Executive Chef when absent.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and cuisines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in banquet operations and large-scale food production.
  • Computer skills for inventory and recipe management.
  • Creativity and a passion for innovation in the kitchen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
