Sous Chef (Goa)

We’re a small, fast-growing Asian café known for our fresh, flavorful dishes inspired by Chinese, Thai, Filipino, and Burmese cuisines. We take pride in consistency, teamwork, and a passion for great food.

Position Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Sous Chef to work directly under the Head Chef and help manage our small kitchen team. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to maintain quality and speed during service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Supervise and coordinate the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain food quality, hygiene, and presentation standards.
• Oversee inventory, mise-en-place, and daily prep schedules.
• Step in to cook during peak hours or when required.
• Train and support junior team members.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an Asian kitchen (Chinese/Thai/Asian fusion preferred).
• Strong communication skills — must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Leadership skills and ability to manage a small team effectively.
• Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and passion for cooking.

Location: Goa
