Sous Chef - Continental

Role Overview: As a Sous Chef at Hyatt Place Vadodara, you will play a vital role in assisting with the efficient operation of the department in accordance with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards. Your primary focus will be on ensuring employee, guest, and owner expectations are met. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen operation to deliver maximum guest satisfaction through effective planning, organization, direction, and control. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Executive Chef in managing the assigned kitchen operation as a successful independent profit center - Ensure maximum guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation - Plan, organize, direct, and control the Kitchen operation and administration - Uphold comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards - Collaborate with the culinary team to create and execute menus that meet the brand standards - Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency - Monitor food costs and work towards maximizing profitability while minimizing waste - Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation to uphold freshness and quality Qualifications Required: - Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Sous Chef or 4 years as Chef de Partie in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards - Preferably have experience working with luxury international brands - Qualification in Kitchen Production or Management will be an advantage - Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office and Recipe Maintenance System, is preferred Note: No additional details about the company were provided in the job description.,
