Sourcing Specialist - Mill Division

As a Sourcing Specialist, your role involves identifying new suppliers for sourcing opportunities for Industrial products throughout the Asia Pacific Region. Your key responsibilities include: - Developing potential suppliers for non-standard products to be offered to Fastenal stores. This includes handling helpdesk questions regarding quality, packaging, MOQ, and special branch requests on price. - Identifying and recommending suppliers to branches and other internal customers after reviewing quotations and conducting on-site factory visits. - Following up on project progress with branches, internal customers, potential suppliers, and sourcing teams to ensure smooth communication among all project stakeholders. - Sending new potential suppliers price and introduction for discussion with branches and other internal customers on current product line strategy, especially for single-source categories. - Assisting the Sourcing project lead in selecting the most qualified suppliers for Fastenal based on price, quality, and service metrics. - Updating package changes to the Compliance team for the FASTCO database. - Coordinating with the QC team on Quality complaints from hub and standard part customers. - Working with buyers on difficulties regarding MOQ from suppliers and adjusting MOQ or MOV to meet demand or switching to consolidation pricing with suppliers for better company shipping efficiency. - Expediting all suppliers" repeat orders for production, testing, ASN pushing, booking, and delivery via email and calls. In terms of qualifications, you should have a Bachelor's degree or above, knowledge, and experience in industrial products, fluent oral and written English communication skills, excellent time management skills in a fast-paced team environment, the ability to take initiatives to work extra miles on projects and as a team, analytical, driven, open-minded, goal and customer service-oriented, the ability to work independently, working knowledge of Excel and related Microsoft Office Software, practice integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the business. Basic knowledge of print-study is preferred but not required. Travel will be required for this position, ranging from 25% to 50% of your work time.,
