As a Solution Designer (Cloud Data Integration) at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of location strategy projects. You will be responsible for planning, budgeting, and ensuring agreed quality and governance standards are met. Your primary focus will be on driving innovation and excellence in the digital landscape, leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance our digital offerings and deliver exceptional customer experiences. **Key Responsibilities:** - Work with large-scale data platforms and develop cloud solutions in the AWS data platform to drive business success. - Design and develop data ingestion programs to process large data sets in Batch mode using Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift, Snowflake, and Databricks. - Develop data ingestion programs to ingest real-time data from LIVE sources using Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, and related technologies. - Utilize programming experience in Python and PySpark for data integration. - Design DevOps Pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and demonstrate strong data modeling and data architecture concepts. - Implement data governance principles and tools like Alation/Glue Data Quality, capable of suggesting solution architecture for diverse technology applications. - Proficient in SQL and database management systems like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Kafka, and AWS. - Design and develop detailed data models, schemas, and database designs. - Demonstrate conceptual understanding of Data Warehousing, Elastic platforms, and Cloud technologies. **Qualifications Required:** - Experience with multi-cloud solution design is preferred. - Proven expertise in data modeling, database design, and data governance frameworks. - Proficiency in agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA and Trello. - Experience in business analysis or product ownership, particularly in a data analytics context. - Strong knowledge of data analytics tools and methodologies. - Basic understanding of the banking domain. - Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
