Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solar Engineer to join our growing team in Nashik. The Solar Engineer will be responsible for various stages of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, from initial feasibility and design to installation supervision and post-commissioning support. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, solar PV technology, relevant Indian standards, and a commitment to delivering efficient and safe solar energy solutions. Key Responsibilities: Feasibility & Site Assessment: Conduct thorough site visits and assessments to evaluate solar potential, structural integrity, shading analysis, and electrical infrastructure for various project types (rooftop, ground-mounted). Gather necessary site data, including electricity bills, roof plans, and electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs). System Design & Engineering: Design optimal solar PV systems (on-grid, off-grid, hybrid) using industry-standard software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Helioscope) for residential, commercial, industrial, or utility-scale applications. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, including SLDs, panel layouts, mounting structure designs, earthing layouts, and cable routing diagrams. Select appropriate components such as solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, cables, and protection devices based on project requirements, budget, and efficiency goals. Perform energy yield estimations and performance simulations. Technical Documentation & Compliance: Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, bill of materials (BOM), and tender documents. Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant Indian standards (e.g., IS standards, MNRE guidelines, state electricity board regulations) and local safety norms. Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities. Project Execution & Supervision (for on-site roles): Supervise on-site installation activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. Conduct quality checks at various stages of installation, including module mounting, wiring, earthing, and inverter connections. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during installation or commissioning. Coordinate with procurement for timely material delivery and with civil/electrical teams. Testing & Commissioning: Perform pre-commissioning checks and final testing of the solar PV system (e.g., IV curve testing, insulation resistance, earth resistance, open-circuit voltage). Oversee the successful commissioning and handover of the system to the client. Operations & Maintenance Support (for service-focused roles): Provide technical support for post-commissioning issues, system performance monitoring, and fault diagnosis. Assist in the planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Communication & Collaboration: Liaise effectively with clients, sales teams, project managers, procurement, and installation teams. Prepare and present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
