Job Description: Solar Site Engineer – Electrical (Ground Mounted Projects)
Position: Solar Site Engineer – ElectricalExperience: Minimum 3 YearsProject Type: Solar Ground Mounted Power ProjectsLocation: Project Site -AssamJob Responsibilities:Execution and supervision of electrical works for solar ground-mounted projects.Hands-on experience and sound knowledge of DC & AC systems including:DC string wiring, string combiner boxes, inverter connectionsAC cabling, inverter to LT/HT panelsSupervision of cable laying, trenching, dressing, glanding, termination, and labeling as per approved drawings.Installation, testing, and commissioning of:LT Panels, HT PanelsInverters, IDT (Inverter Duty Transformers)LA (Lightning Arresters) and earthing systemsExecution and monitoring of earthing systems including module earthing, structure earthing, equipment earthing, and earth pit resistance measurements.Coordination and supervision of ICOG / SCB installation (if applicable as per project scope).Carrying out testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities:Insulation Resistance (IR) testsContinuity testsPolarity testsEarth resistance testsHT/LT testing and synchronization supportPreparation and maintenance of Daily MIS reports, progress reports, and site documentation.Ensuring quality control and compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and safety standards.Coordination with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for timely execution of work.Monitoring site safety practices and ensuring adherence to EHS guidelines.Supporting project handover and as-built documentation.Required Skills & Knowledge:Strong knowledge of solar PV electrical systems for utility-scale projects.Proficient in AC/DC electrical works, earthing, and protection systems.Experience with HT/LT equipment, transformers, and panels.Good understanding of electrical drawings, SLDs, and layout drawings.Familiar with testing instruments and commissioning procedures.Ability to manage site manpower and subcontractors efficiently.Qualifications:Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 3 years of relevant experience in solar ground-mounted projects
