Solar service engineer

A solar service engineer performs technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for photovoltaic (PV) solar energy systems, including site visits, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on solar panels, inverters, and electrical components. Key responsibilities include ensuring system operation, diagnosing faults, performing routine maintenance, providing technical support for issues, and potentially assisting with system design and commissioning to ensure safety and performance. Key Responsibilities

• Site Inspections & Assessment:Conduct site visits to evaluate existing solar energy systems and identify faults or areas for improvement.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to solar panels, inverters, battery storage units, and other electrical components.
• Maintenance & Repairs:Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including repairs, on solar PV systems and related infrastructure.
• Technical Support:Provide technical assistance and support to clients and other team members for troubleshooting solar energy system problems.
• System Performance:Monitor system performance and ensure the efficient and smooth operation of solar power systems.
• Safety & Compliance:Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations during installation, testing, and maintenance.
• Collaboration:Work with project engineers and other stakeholders to integrate solar solutions and ensure overall project success.

Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, racking, and electrical components.
• Troubleshooting Skills:The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Maintenance Skills:Proficiency in performing both routine and preventative maintenance on renewable energy equipment.
• Communication:Effective communication skills to explain technical issues to clients and coordinate with team members.
• Electrical Systems Knowledge:Familiarity with electrical systems, switchgear, and substations is beneficial.
• Safety Consciousness:Adherence to safety protocols is crucial for working with electrical equipment and on-site installations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
